Draft — pending legal review. This is a working draft. A lawyer will review it before ChaiPe launches, and the final text may change.
Effective date: 2026-10-05
ChaiPe has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). ChaiPe is published on Google Play by Anvatrix. These standards explain what we prohibit, how we keep children off ChaiPe, how to report a concern, and what we do about it. They apply to every user and to all content on ChaiPe, and they are part of our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

Our standard#
- ChaiPe is a dating app for adults aged 18 or over only. Children are not allowed to use it.
- Any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, abuses or endangers a child is strictly prohibited, wherever it happens: in profiles, photos, prompts, comments, Chai Invites, chats or off ChaiPe.
- We follow Indian child-protection law, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and its rules, section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the IT Rules, 2021. We also follow Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
What we prohibit#
In this policy a "child" or "minor" means anyone under 18. The following are prohibited and lead to an immediate permanent ban:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any image, video, text or other material that shows or describes a child in a sexual way. This includes drawn, animated, edited and AI-generated material.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a child, online or offline, in order to abuse or exploit them.
- Sextortion: threatening or pressuring a child to share sexual images, money or anything else.
- Sexualising minors: sexual comments about children, "age-play" that sexualises minors, or presenting a minor as sexually available.
- Trafficking: recruiting, selling or arranging children for sexual or any other exploitation.
- Contact with minors for sexual purposes, including asking a child for photos, to meet, or to move to another app.
- Sharing, asking for, or helping others find any of the above, including links to it.
- Minors using ChaiPe, and adults helping minors to use ChaiPe or pretending to be minors.
How we keep minors off ChaiPe#
- Date of birth check. Everyone gives their date of birth at sign-up. Anyone under 18 is blocked. They cannot try again with a different date, and the device is blocked from signing up.
- Google Play settings. ChaiPe is listed for adults only, and Google's "Restrict Minor Access" setting is on.
- Selfie verification. You must complete selfie verification before you can like anyone, and our team may review borderline cases.
- Photo checks. Every photo is checked before others can see it. Photos of children are not allowed on profiles, even of the user's own children.
- "May be under 18" reports. Anyone can report a profile as possibly under 18. The account is suspended straight away while we check.
- Text-only chat. Chats on ChaiPe are text only today. If we add photo sharing in chat, it will come with extra protections first.
- Chat safety checks. Early messages and Chai Invites are checked automatically for contact details and abuse.
How to report#
If you see anything that might involve a child, please report it straight away.
- In the app: tap Report on the profile or chat and choose "May be under 18" or "Child safety concern". Report is on every profile and every chat.
- By email: write to our child safety point of contact at grievance@chaipe.app. Tell us the name shown on the profile, the city, and what you saw.
- Do not send us the content itself. Do not screenshot, download, forward or share suspected abuse material with anyone, including us. Under Indian law, keeping or passing on such material can be a crime even if you mean well; the only exception is reporting it to the authorities in the way the law sets out. A description is enough for us; we can find the content on our systems.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 112. You can also report to the police directly at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, cybercrime.gov.in, which accepts reports about child sexual abuse material and lets you report anonymously.
What we do when we get a report#
- Hide straight away. The reported content or profile is hidden automatically as soon as the report arrives.
- Review urgently. Our team aims to review child-safety reports within 2 hours.
- Remove and ban. If the report is confirmed, we remove the content, permanently ban the account, and block the device used for it from creating new accounts.
- Preserve evidence. We keep the content and related records in a secure, access-restricted evidence store, as the law requires. Only the people handling the case can access it, and it is never shared except with the authorities.
- Report to the authorities. We report confirmed or suspected child sexual abuse material and child sexual offences to the police or through cybercrime.gov.in, as the POCSO Act and its rules require.
- Under-18 accounts. If an account belongs to someone under 18, we suspend and remove it, and delete its location data. We keep only what we need to stop the person signing up again and any evidence the law requires.
Working with law enforcement#
- We cooperate with Indian law enforcement agencies investigating child sexual abuse and exploitation.
- We respond to lawful requests for information within the time the IT Rules set (72 hours), and act on lawful takedown orders from courts and government agencies within the time the law requires.
- Where content or users are linked to another country, we may also report to the relevant authority there, such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States.
- Law enforcement agencies can contact us at legal@chaipe.app.
